Denise Damijo, a visionary and student of shamanism, founded The Shamanic Group following a profound spiritual awakening. From a young age, Denise has been a seer, inheriting this gift from a lineage of seers and shamans. At the age of five, she began to build a strong relationship with her spirit team, which later guided her through a 25-year vision of what The Shamanic Group was destined to become.

Denise's journey into shamanism coincided with a personal transformation, marked by her acceptance of the shamanic path. Her experiences as a foster child, surviving trauma, abuse, and rape, have deeply informed her healing journey. She discovered energy healing in 2006 and attained the level of Reiki master by 2020. Her initiation into the Q’ero tribe in Peru, known for their energy healing practices, further solidified her commitment to shamanism.

Denise's health journey has been a testament to her resilience and faith. For eight years, she struggled to breathe properly due to three different pulmonary embolisms. Her condition escalated to a near-death experience where she required five quarts of oxygen 24/7, developed pulmonary hypertension, and went into respiratory and heart failure, with only 1% blood flow to her right lung. During life-saving surgery, both her lungs and heart were on a bypass machine for 11-12 hours, and her heart stopped multiple times. Upon waking from this experience, Denise realized the profound impact of her shamanic spiritual beliefs and practices, along with the dedication of allopathic health professionals, in helping her regain her health.

Denise is not only a healer but also an educator and podcast host. She created The Healer's Realm Podcast and co-hosts The Spirit Walk Podcast, both platforms offering guidance and tools for spiritual and wellness journeys. As a full-time graduate student and the TA in the Contemplative-End-of-Life-Care Department at her university, Denise is pursuing a Ph.D. in Mind, Body, and Medicine, with a focus on Psychophysiology and Contemplative End-of-Life Care, and holds a certificate in Integrative Wellness Coaching.

The Shamanic Group, founded in 2020, aims to empower individuals on their spiritual and wellness journeys. It fosters community, integration, and collaboration, encouraging members to remember, heal, learn, and grow together. Denise's work as a world traveler, energy healer, speaker, and educator helps individuals integrate shamanic practices, mind-body medicine, and other modalities including trusted allopathic health professionals and practitioners  into their holistic wellness paths.
